Dr. McKeon holds an M.Ed. from Teachers College, Columbia University,
New York, and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from
Rutgers-The State University of New Jersey.
Licensed in California since 1987, she has maintained a
private practice in addition to hospital work.
For 24 years, she has specialized in assessment as Staff Neuropsychologist at the
UCSF Memory & Alzheimer's Clinic, the Rehab Unit at California Pacific
Medical Center, and the Neuropsychology Service at the San Francisco V. A. Medical Center.
She was Director of Neuropsychology at Palo Alto V. A. Health
Care System (Livermore Division), then the Neuropsychological and Behavioral
Medicine Clinic at Palo Alto V. A.’s Monterey Division, for 10 years.
She also worked in community reentry programs for
the head injured and conducted survivor education and support groups.
She offers workshops on Alzheimer’s and related dementia, brain injury, cognitive
rehab, and caregiver support.
Faculty positions have included the PGSP-Stanford University Consortium, Alliant University,
and the Wright Institute.
