WHAT IS ASSESSED?

Assessment includes a quantifiable, repeatable neuropsych screening covering:

attention/concentration/language
visuomotor skills/learning/memory abilities
reasoning/judgment
insight into deficits
executive functions
emergency problem-solving skills
mood/behavior/psychiatric status
the ability to read and follow simple directions
performance of simple monetary
transactions/financial planning
health care decision-making

This information is useful to determine whether a person who is living
independently is at risk by continuing to do so, and whether placement in a
supervised setting, or with staffing at home, is required.
