About Dr McKeon

Dr. McKeon holds an M.Ed. from Teachers College, Columbia University,
New York, and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from
Rutgers-The State University of New Jersey.

Licensed in California since 1987, she has maintained a private practice in addition to hospital work.
For over 40 years, she has specialized in assessment and rehabilitation services, as well as providing psychotherapy to adults and elders.

In the late l980s, she served as Staff Neuropsychologist at the UCSF Memory & Alzheimer's Clinic, and later for 9 years on the Rehab Unit at California Pacific Medical Center, Garden Sullivan Campus. 
She also provided training and supervision services as a member of the staff of the Neuropsychology Service at both the San Francisco and Palo Alto Veterans Administration Medical Centers.

She later served as Director of Neuropsychology at Palo Alto VA Health Care System (Livermore Division), then the Neuropsychology and Behavioral Medicine Clinic at Palo Alto VA’s Monterey Division, for 10 years.

She has also worked in community reentry programs for those experiencing traumatic brain injuries,  and conducted survivor education and support groups. 

Currently, she offers workshops on Alzheimer’s and related dementia, brain injury, cognitive
rehab, and caregiver support.
Faculty positions have included the PGSP-Stanford University Consortium, Alliant University,
 the Wright Institute and California State University, Monterey Bay.
